Honestly I really liked this aspect of the new Beastmen, that the combination of units being at least okay and the caps made me use most of them at least a bit, even if units like Razorgor Herds, Harpies and Centigors definitely feel less impactful in the lategame. (Probably not the LL who gets the good stuff, unless it's Morghur with whom I still had 6 at the end of the campaign) Chaos Spawns are kinda meh in a vacuum but it's also pretty easy to increase their cap with a follower and they're definitely better than Ungors so they have a place in most of your armies.

Late game the world is your oyster, you can have themed armies with one army having Minotaur spam, another with cygor spam and everything in between. Also giants are actually pretty decent now for their tier as they are pretty good duelists but horrible infantry killers. You can try the chaos spawn but I found them too squishy. Since everything is free I don’t necessarily hard avoid some units, but so far the war hounds and harpies were very lackluster in my beastmen campaign.Įarly game you would like ungor archers as your main damage dealers with as few of spear variant is possible (depend on your play style, but I would say a rule of thumb is not having more ungor spearmen than archers)Īround tier 3 you have couple great units like bestigors, minotaurs chariots and centigors.
